The night before Valentines day (Gordon's birthday), Dianna, Gordon, & I were playing cards when Gordon says "I WAS going to get you flowers for Valentines day" Laughing to myself at the statement itself, I told him that it doesn't have to be Valentines day to get me flowers, It would be more special if he gave me flowers on a regular 'ol day. Then I told him to either get me flowers or don't, just don't tell me that you WERE going to get me flowers!! It's like all the times he tells me "I was going to do the dishes" (as I'm loading the last dish in the dishwasher).
I did get flowers for Valentines day. They were pretty, but I feel that if he didn't have to go to Walmart, then I would have to settle for "I was going to get you flowers for Valentines day" Oh, my husband.... He's such a man sometimes! He was raised by all women, so sometimes I just have to shake my head in disbelief of the things he says. I love you Gordon.
I found out last weekend, that my little brother Phillip, and his family might be coming up here next month. I really hope they make it because we have never met Jaxon, & Brett. The last time we saw them was when Phillip & Laura got married. Mason will be done with Basketball when they come here, but I think he will have a track meet around that time. I really want Phillip to see Mason playing a sport, because when Mason was little he watched Phillip all the time. Sometimes I think Mason is a little Phillip, because of the sports, and the way he is socially. He has no desire to do "bad things" (drink, smoke, whatever) but he has a lot of friends, and has such a happy demeanor. Yeah, he's a teenager, and acts like it sometimes, but for the most part he does what he should, and stays out of trouble. He has only had his phone taken away once, because he didn't shovel the sidewalk. He's only had detention once because he was texting during class. And, sometimes I have to tell him more than once to take the trash out, but he gets good grades, and with sports, he often spends 12 hours at school. IDK how he does it! It excites me to think about what he will be in the future, because he is going to excel at whatever it is. He has a natural sport ability (like Phillip) where we can pick up on the sport, and be really good at it. Sometimes I wonder if we were in a big school, in a bigger city, would he get lost in the shuffle? St.Johns is a 5A school, and they play a lot of Lansing schools, so whats the difference? He's turning 16 next year, and we are already trying to work on getting him a car. We are getting the blazer back from Dianna when she gets a new car in a few weeks, and we are buying a 2 door Cavalier next week, so he can pick between the two, and he & Gordon can spend some quality time working (pimping) on the 2 cars. I'll be glad when he drives, because I wont be picking him up or taking him to practice. I probably wont see him as much, but I don't see him all that much now. Plus Mayla will be doing basketball again next year, and Jarrett will start basketball, and t-ball next year too. So, I will be carting them around.
I have Dianna's twins tonight, but other than that, I have laundry to do, & that's pretty much it. TTYL

WHAT!!?? We just saw Phil and Laura this weekend and they didn't say anythng about coming up!
I'm jealous! ;)
David was asking why I was laughing at your post. I had to tell him that all men are the same! David loses points when he tells me, "I was going to do 'that'". GGggrrrhhh!
